Stephan Siegrist has packed his borderline experiences on ice and rocks into a 100-minute talk. He comments on his breath-taking photos with a good pinch of humour and talks about ups and downs, success and failures, and of course about what makes him want to overcome his own limits over and over again.

The general public may know Stephan Siegrist from the 1999 TV show "Eiger live". In the mountaineering scene, however, he had already made a name for himself long before thanks to several first ascents in the Alps, Andes and Himalayas: To name just a few, he successfully climbed the north faces of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau in only 25 hours, tackled the first winter ascent of Cerro Torre in Patagonia and was the first to master the north face of Thalay Sagar in the Himalayas. He lent his skills to the Swiss Television channel documentary "In the footsteps of Heckmair", for which he climbed the Eiger North Face just like the Heckmair had done in 1938: with hemp ropes and hobnailed mountain boots. Stephan Siegrist's photos and films documenting his bouldering adventures in Africa and Australia, big-wall climbing in America, rock climbing in Europe, ice climbing in Switzerland and, above all, expeditions in South America and Asia have travelled around the whole world and earned him several prizes.
