At the IMS:
It is with great pleasure that we look forward to the forthcoming IMS event starting on 3rd November 2009, and continuing until November 8th.
Ernst Vogt, from the “Radio Rucksack” of the Bavarian Radio, has great experience and passion in mountaineering, and therefore chosen to be our talk show host. He will be discussing various alpine topics with some of the most famous mountaineers in the world and well as with the representatives of the Alpine Mountains organizations.
Christoph Hainz, Hans Kammerlander and Reinhold Messner are present at the same sit; as well as: the President of the AVS Georg Simeoni, the President of the CAI, Prof. Annibale Salsa, the journalist Roberto Mantovani, and the extreme mountaineers Stefan Glowacz, Alexander Huber and Ines Papert.
It is a panel of discussion for nearly two hours entirely dedicated to discuss about the main issue “alpinism”:
How should the mountains be developed?
How can professionals share their knowledge with the young people?
How important are the mountains in recent times?
What is the Alpine culture during the course of history?
What variety of stories and experiences does each of the guests bring?

He is always on the lookout for great and mysterious walls. Therefore, as a child, climbing became much important for me and I had no other choice than to become a mountain guide. At the age of fifteen I started climbing, with my tough and 20 year’s elder teacher, challenging alpine rocks. Now, at the age of 60 I can review to all the ups and downs of the alpine mountaineering. | |
