Beyond the Vertical is an evening filled with five films commented live by Heinz Zak before the audience.
Dreams never die - „Separate Reality“: a six-metre overhanging roof, exposed 200 metres above the Merced River in Yosemite National Park, USA. 18 years after Heinz Zak photographed the first free solo-ascent of the route achieved by Wolfgang Güllich, the Tyrolean climber himself was the second person to solo the route: A dream come true.
The blind rope team: This film about two blind climbers, Andy Holzer and Erik Weihenmayer, is pure suspense: In an entirely autonomous effort, they climb the 200 metre vertical wall of the Red Tower, located in the Austrian Dolomites near Lienz (East Tyrol).
„La Linea“: The film shows two of the world's best ice climbers, Florian Schranz and Egon Netzer, mastering a fantastic vertical ice landscape on Renkfall in Austria.
