Snow is the most influential natural phenomenon. It changes just about everything it comes in touch with: landscapes, human actions and the behaviour of all other life forms confronted with it. Mountain guide Hanspeter Eisendle, whose speciality are winter activities, talks about the dangers and characteristics of the winter, the possibilities which snow offers and the fascination it evokes. And of course about the perhaps most creative and playful encounter between man and the mountain: ski mountaineering.

Hanspeter Eisendle has achieved 26 first-time ascents on rock and ice and taken part in a large number of expeditions, among others with Reinhold Messner. He has also climbed around 1000 important Dolomite routes.
